Tobacco Cessation Centre (TCC) under National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP), Govt. of India is a specialized service wherein people who are habituated or addicted to smoking/tobacco chewing, are given assistance and support to quit their tobacco habit. The centre, TCC is situated in the Murshidabad Medical College & hospital in the state of West Bengal, to provide a detailed treatment programme of tobacco dependence. We provide a Structured treatment facility wherein we help the smokers/tobacco habitués quit their addictions effectively, and also maintain long-term and even permanent abstinence.
• Setting-up and manage tobacco cessation facilities and do advocacy for behavioural change.
• Training of Key stakeholders: health professionals and others.
• Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities.
• School and College Programmes.
• Monitoring of tobacco control laws.
• Co-ordination with Panchayati Raj Institutions for inculcating concept of tobacco control at the grassroots.
